Agricultural Spray Drone Report (USA)

Multirotor spray drones for sale in the United States. Price is the U.S. dealer ask for the aircraft plus the spray tank — batteries, charger, generator, and spreader are extra. Some ads still throw in the remote. “Quote” means no published number. Tariff is the 9/3/2026 import rate on a newly imported finished spray drone: 100% over ~55 lb or with thermal, 25% on lighter imports, 0% on a U.S.-built finished airframe. Stock already in the country may not carry that duty. Imported parts inside a U.S.-assembled drone can still be taxed. Every model here can take a spreader; the hopper figure is the published capacity. Obstacle-avoidance tags are the published sensors — dirt, spray fog, wires, and speed still matter in the field. Flow and swath are published maxima, not a field recipe. NDAA and Conditional Approval (CA) are not the same thing. CA marks follow FCC Public Notices (fcc.gov/supplychain/coveredlist), not maker blogs. On this table: Elevon Z30/Z50/Z80 (15 May 2026); ABZ L50 (12 Jun 2026); Ceres C31 as sold here (notice also names C40/C26/C20/C6, 22 Jun 2026); Exedy AYRE CX (24 Jul 2026). Manufacturer Summaries — U.S. Outlook, Next 12 Months

Three federal layers sit on every sale in this table. FAA: spray work needs Part 107 plus a Part 137 agricultural aircraft operator certificate. Aircraft over 55 lb at takeoff also need a Section 44807 exemption and a place on FAA’s approved agricultural UAS list — that is most of the tanks on this page, including T50 / T100 / P150 / J150 / ARES / ATLAS / C31. FCC: foreign-made UAS went on the Covered List 12/22/2025, which blocks new equipment grants. Pre-cutoff grants can still be sold today. PS Docket 26-189 (comments closed 9/2/2026, no final rule as of this snapshot) would go further and stop import and marketing of already-authorized foreign aircraft that are agricultural sprayers, 55 lb or heavier, LiDAR-equipped, thermal, docked, or swarming. Proposed carve-outs: Blue UAS, Buy American domestic end products, and Conditional Approvals. Owners could keep flying what they already have. Tariffs: from 9/3/2026, 25% on most imported drones and 100% on aircraft over ~55 lb or with thermal. A loaded spray drone is in the 100% class. Allied-origin rates are lower; U.S.-built airframes are not in that import tax.

ABZ Innovation

Founded ~2021 · Szentendre, Hungary · Flagship in U.S.: L50

Hungarian-built L-series sprayer with CDA spinning discs and onboard LiDAR. Drone Nerds lists an L50 ready-to-fly kit for U.S. shipment. MTOW is about 238 lb, so Part 137 and Section 44807 apply. L50 is on FAA’s approved UAS list (June 2026 snapshot).

Recent Changes: DoW / FCC Conditional Approval for the L50 posted 12 June 2026 (DA-26-585). Drone Nerds showed the L50 at Minnesota Farmfest (Aug 2026) and lists a $37,132 RTF kit. A new Szentendre factory opened mid-September 2026. CEO said U.S. non-military production is planned over the course of next year. July 2026 FCC language keeps the CA alive if the onshoring plan holds.

Outlook: CA is the proposed 26-189 off-ramp, which is why L50 is on this list now. Next 12 months hinge on actual U.S. dealer volume and whether U.S. assembly starts before the 100% heavy-import tariff and any final 26-189 rule freeze restock from Hungary.

Positives: Verified CA. Live U.S. dealer SKU. Published LiDAR OA and CDA flow. Not a China-origin airframe. 44807 listing already exists for L50.

Hurdles: NDAA unconfirmed. Finished airframes are still imported (Tariff 100% on >55 lb). Thin U.S. parts bench versus DJI. Onshoring plan is what keeps the CA. L30 V2 is not a confirmed U.S. dealer SKU here.

Ceres Air

U.S. company, mid-2020s · Bellevue, WA / North Springfield, VT · Flagship sold here: C31 Black Betty

New U.S. brand with a large tank and dealers (Raptor Dynamic, Drone Spray Pro, Harvest Works). FCC CA (DA-26-616) names C40, C31, C26, C20, and C6. Only the C31 is the sold row here. 31–40 gal puts it firmly in Part 137 / 44807.

Recent Changes: Ceres Air appeared as a U.S. spray brand with C31 / Black Betty at dealers. DoW / FCC CA for C40 / C31 / C26 / C20 / C6 posted 22 June 2026 (DA-26-616). July 2026 FCC action removed the hard 12/31/2026 CA sunset if onshoring continues. Only the C31 is a sold U.S. SKU on this list.

Outlook: Big-tank + CA is a credible 12-month pitch against leftover T100s if 26-189 arrives. Vermont / U.S. production has to show up as serial-numbered airframes so the tariff and “foreign-produced” tests do not follow the parts.

Positives: Verified CA covering the C31. 31–40 gal spray and 53 gal spread. Multiple U.S. dealers already quoting it. CA is on the proposed 26-189 exception list.

Hurdles: NDAA unconfirmed. Brand is young. Supply-chain origin questions will keep coming. Must keep the C31 on FAA’s approved agricultural UAS list. CA onshoring plan is what keeps the exemption alive.

DJI Agriculture

Founded 2006 (Agras line ~2015) · Shenzhen · Flagship in U.S.: Agras T100

DJI still owns most of the U.S. spray-drone installed base after a decade in the field. Operators already know the app, parts bins, and training pipeline. Pre-12/22/2025 FCC grants keep T25 / T50 / T100 legal to sell from existing stock, with firmware support on the books into 2029. T50 and T100 are on the heavy side of FAA 44807.

Recent Changes: Agras T100 launched globally July 2025 and reached U.S. dealers in early 2026 on a May 2025 FCC grant. Covered List hit 12/22/2025; DJI sued and is still fighting it. July 2026 dual-battery T100 shipped abroad, not as a new U.S. authorization. 100% import tariff on heavy drones started 9/3/2026. Docket 26-189 comments closed 9/2/2026 with no final rule yet.

Outlook: Next-12-month U.S. unit sales look like a harvest of leftover authorized airframes, not a new-model cycle. If 26-189 is adopted as written, even that leftover pipeline stops at the dock. Until then, dealers move T100s while they can.

Positives: Largest dealer and training network. Best-documented parts and used market. T100 payload still leads this table. Installed aircraft stay legal to fly under the current FCC text.

Hurdles: No new FCC authorizations. 100% tariff on restock of >55 lb spray airframes. Docket 26-189 names both “55 lb+” and “agricultural sprayers,” which is the entire Agras catalog. FAA 44807 + Part 137 already add time before a new T100 operator is legal to spray. Price and replacement risk rise as warehouses empty.

EAVision

Founded 2015 · China / U.S. distribution · Flagship: J150

Vision + LiDAR specialist. Agri Spray Drones is the main U.S. channel; there is public talk of licensed U.S. build in Missouri. J70 / J100 / J150 sit on pre-cutoff FCC grants, not a CA. J150 MTOW is in the FAA 44807 band.

Recent Changes: J-series stayed on pre-cutoff grants through the Covered List shock. Agri Spray remained the U.S. face; licensed Missouri production was discussed, not shown as serial U.S.-built J150s. No CA. 100% tariff and 26-189 (sprayer + 55 lb + LiDAR) both landed on the calendar this year.

Outlook: Next year is a race to onshore or win a CA before 26-189 and the 100% tariff freeze restock. Orchard and night-OA pitching stays a niche they can defend on aircraft already in country.

Positives: Serious obstacle avoidance. Agri Spray dealer coverage and training. Cargill-adjacent marketing in North America. Licensed U.S. build, if it actually ships, is the clean way out of both the docket and the tariff.

Hurdles: China origin, no CA. 26-189 names sprayers, 55 lb+, and LiDAR — J150 is all three. 100% tariff on imported restock. Part 137 / 44807 still apply. Missouri production is a plan, not a warehouse of U.S.-built J150s.

Elevon Aerial Ag

Brand 2025 (applicator roots 2019) · Belleville, Illinois · Flagship: Z80

KT Precision applicators became Elevon. Z30 / Z50 / Z80 are assembled in Illinois on an EFT-derived airframe with U.S. hardware/software changes. DoW CA is on the books (DA-26-489). Z80 is a large-tank machine under Part 137 / 44807.

Recent Changes: Elevon Aerial Ag was formed in 2025 by the Raffertys out of KT Precision. Z-series assembled in Belleville, IL. DoW / FCC Conditional Approval for Z30 / Z50 / Z80 posted 15 May 2026 (DA-26-489). July 2026 FCC change tied that CA to the onshoring plan instead of a hard 12/31/2026 sunset.

Outlook: CA is the proposed 26-189 off-ramp, so Elevon is better placed than a pre-cutoff-only import. Next year is execute the onshoring plan and keep imported content from eating the 100% tariff on parts they still bring in. Rafferty has said a ~$37k machine could theoretically approach ~$80k if everything imported gets hit.

Positives: Verified CA. Three-season field test claim. Illinois assembly and a working application company that already lives in Part 137.

Hurdles: NDAA still unconfirmed. CA is not NDAA and is now tied to the onshoring plan. Residual imported content can still take tariff. Brand is one year old.

Exedy Drones

Drone unit stood up 2024 · Van Buren Township, Michigan · Flagship: AYRE CX

EXEDY Globalparts converted a Michigan prototype shop into drone build. AYRE CX has an FCC CA (July 2026 notice). 15 gal tank is still a Part 137 / 44807 aircraft once loaded.

Recent Changes: Drone unit stood up in 2024 from the Michigan prototype shop. AYRE CX received DoW / FCC Conditional Approval 24 July 2026 (DA-26-768). Same July notices dropped the automatic 12/31/2026 CA sunset if the onshoring plan holds. Brand is still new in U.S. ag dealer channels.

Outlook: CA is the proposed way around 26-189. U.S. floor is the way around the 100% import tariff on the finished airframe. Next year is volume, dealers, and proving the CX in corn/soy — plus staying on FAA’s approved list as the airframe evolves.

Positives: Verified CA. Michigan factory and a parent that already knows volume manufacturing. Drop-in spreader option.

Hurdles: New brand. Thin published OA and hopper specs. NDAA unconfirmed. Onshoring plan is what keeps the CA. Imported subassemblies can still take tariff even if final assembly is here.

Hylio

Founded 2015 · Richmond, Texas · Flagship: ARES (HYL-150); ATLAS for big acres

Eleven years of U.S. design and build. NDAA-compliant, Blue-Green / Blue UAS path on ARES, swarm approval history, and a Texas plant that has been told to raise output. Public reporting put 2025 revenue around $13 million with a capacity push toward several thousand units.

Recent Changes: ARES (HYL-150) became the public midsize flagship; ATLAS is the large current model; AG-2 frames slipped to leftover dealer stock. ARES added to the Blue UAS Cleared List in April 2026. Later-stage funding reported mid-2026. Plant expansion is underway because demand is running ahead of U.S. output.

Outlook: Strongest 12-month U.S. setup on this list if 26-189 lands. Blue UAS / domestic-end-product language is the proposed off-ramp from that docket, and U.S.-built airframes are outside the 9/3 tariff. Demand from growers leaving Chinese platforms and from federal-adjacent buyers should outrun the plant unless they keep expanding.

Positives: True U.S. manufacture. No CA needed. Not in the import-tariff stack. Dealer and operator network already in the field. FAA 44807 / Part 137 are still required, but the compliance story is cleaner than a Covered List airframe.

Hurdles: Price is still 2–3× a leftover T50. Production and parts depth have to scale. Swarm is a selling point and also one of the 26-189 categories — that only matters if someone later treats a U.S.-made swarmer as foreign, which the current proposal does not. Some older AG-2 airframes linger at dealers.

Revolution Drones

U.S. launch ~2024–25 · North Carolina roots · Flagship: R-40 / Independence 19

Farmer-led brand. First U.S. season coverage was reported around 2 million acres across the I-19 and 40-series. Dealers (Terraplex, Wassenaar) sell packages. I-19 and R-40 tanks put them in Part 137 / 44807 territory.

Recent Changes: Brand went from build-out (~2024–25) to a reported first U.S. season of about 2 million acres. Package pricing showed up at Terraplex / Wassenaar. No FCC CA notice. U.S. production is still a claim, not a published factory line item.

Outlook: A finished U.S. production claim is what keeps them off the 26-189 and tariff lists. Without that, they look like every other unconfirmed-origin sprayer when a buyer’s lawyer reads the docket.

Positives: Real U.S. acreage already sprayed. Package pricing in the mid-$40ks on the I-19. Farmer-to-farmer sales story. If production is truly U.S., tariffs do not attach and 26-189’s foreign-produced test should not either.

Hurdles: No FCC CA on record. NDAA unconfirmed. Thin published OA and hopper data. Must stay on FAA’s approved agricultural UAS list as models change. Scaling parts from a first-season base.

Talos Drones

Founded 2019 · Riverside, CA · Flagship: T60X (launched 2025)

Started as a DJI ag dealer and parts shop; T60X is their own-brand sprayer. Aggressive street price and a working parts counter are the pitch. T60X is a 13–16 gal class machine, so FAA 44807 is in play once it is loaded.

Recent Changes: T60X launched February 2025 as Talos’s first own-brand sprayer while the shop kept selling authorized Agras. Covered List and the 9/3/2026 tariff turned that dual inventory into the whole U.S. story. Origin / NDAA / CA for T60X were not cleared up this year.

Outlook: They can keep selling authorized DJI stock until 26-189 or inventory says stop, and the T60X only if its grant and origin story hold. Own-brand share stays small unless they prove U.S. content or get a CA.

Positives: U.S. dealer already in the chair. Low published price. Same shop that supports Agras fleets and walks customers through Part 137 / 44807 paperwork.

Hurdles: No NDAA, no CA. If T60X is foreign-produced, it sits in the same 26-189 and 100% tariff bucket as Agras. Dual-hat dealer/OEM confuses buyers who want a clean U.S. line.

Vector AGR

Recent Changes: HD580 stayed a Raptor Dynamic / Aerial Agronomy dealer SKU on a pre-cutoff grant. No CA, no NDAA filing. Covered List, then the 9/3/2026 100% tariff, then 26-189, all landed on an imported 55 lb+ sprayer with no U.S. factory story.

Outlook: Same squeeze as other China-origin names: sell authorized stock until 26-189 or the tariff makes restock uneconomic. Unlikely to take share from Hylio or leftover T100s without a CA or U.S. build.

Positives: Published $27,500 airframe and a 26 gal spreader. Existing Raptor / Aerial Agronomy dealers who can run Part 137 jobs.

Hurdles: No NDAA, no CA. 26-189 sprayer + 55 lb categories. 100% tariff on imported restock. Thin U.S. brand awareness.

XAG

Founded 2007 · Guangzhou · Flagship in U.S.: P150 Max

XAG has been in ag robotics nearly as long as DJI and sells a modular spray / spread / map / sling stack. The P Series has a long global hour count; the P150 Max was shown to U.S. operators in early 2026. Same FAA weight class as the T100.

Recent Changes: P150 Max was introduced to U.S. operators in February 2026. Same December 2025 Covered List lock as DJI — no new FCC grants. No Conditional Approval on file. 100% heavy-drone tariff began 9/3/2026. 26-189 would also tag XAG’s sprayer, 55 lb+, LiDAR, and swarm features if adopted.

Outlook: Same box as DJI: pre-cutoff grants can still move until 26-189 or the warehouse says otherwise. U.S. share stays a distant second unless a CA or U.S. assembly deal appears.

Positives: High flow and 30 gal spread hopper. Swarm and mapping options. Some U.S. dealers already trained on RevoSpray / RevoCast.

Hurdles: Covered List, 100% tariff on heavy imports, and 26-189 would hit sprayers, 55 lb+, LiDAR, and swarming — XAG markets all four. Thinner U.S. service network than DJI. Part 137 / 44807 still apply to every commercial load.
